Loud Clunking/Creak Noise
 
it happens when i turn , specially on left turns so im guessing its my left ball joints right?

any idea how much a shop will charge?

i get them too, when i turn and do a reverse.

my mechanic said my balljoints are fine.

Usually the clucking/clicking noise is associated with balljoints. You should get them replaced anyways just because they tend to fail on this car.

$130 for a set of front balljoints. Labor should be an hour only.

I had a similar sound during low speed turning. With the observations you've described, it could be related to the sway bar.

im pretty sure its my balljoints, well hopefully it is cuase i just ordered some and a pittman arm puller...

anyone know of a good DIY guide?

check the sticky at the top of the forum, it's been done a hundred times and shouldn't be too tough. good luck :thumbup: probably the best piece of preventative maintenance you can do on the car.

there's a DIY somewhere. And you should have just rented the puller from Autozone ;)
