I know they make chrome trim and stuff for the trim on the gear shifter (like http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2928) but does anyone know if you can get anything to cover up the actual gear shifter part where it has the gears listed etc...? mine is all scratched up and just kinda basic looking. anyone know a place to get something like this?
make you own Jeff!!! LOL you are the DIy king, it looks to be a regular boot and just held in using the original plastic trim around the gear shift. Did this on my honda many years ago.
Cocobun, how much does that boot thing cost? I want to put one in my car. And also how was it installed?
cost...I wish I could tell you the exact amount but I think it was like 80bucks for the boot and shift ****.
It's installed by gently stretching that 98-00 bezel thing with a heat gun by a little bit to make room for the leather. It also has a elastic bands on the end of the boot so it's wrapped around the indicator assy thing.
