First thing you need to do was check for any stored codes. I don't think it was your battery , because your locks would not have unlock. The computer think you switched off the vehicle that' s why the doors unlock. I would check if there is any codes related to the stalling, if not check your ignition switch connection/connector. Does your car has remote start?

As mentioned in post 15 check or replace the crank position sensor. Normally causes this issue with no codes given.
