okay, so before, as stated in a previous thread, I was noticing that after running my A/C for a while I heard a sound that was a lot like pebbles tumbling around in my dash. Other members described it as liquid bubbling. My carpet is not getting wet, my A/C still blows out cold air and works normally, but the last couple days ive noticed it's now more of a buzzing, almost like the old school printers used to make. It's not constant, just a short little "bzzzzt.....bzt.....bzzzt...bzzt....bzzzzzzzt....bzt....." almost like a cd player going over a disc but REALLY loud....haha if you can picture what a robot would sound like farting, that's kind of what it is.


any ideas guys?

 

I just noticed this sound in my 98 GS300 too, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread too....

Could be water dripping off the condensor, or possibly the blower motor

 

I had same problem in my 2000 GS, it turned out to be servo motor, the teeth were wearing off.

 

Me 2..its not the AC....its comming from the steering column for me and it comes and goes...

 

it sounds like lil baby birds on my dash.

it sounds like the guage is processing or something.

 

sounds like a baby Canadian wood pecker, pecking away on a red oak tree

 

expensive fix? DIY potential? more info please.

sounds like a bad servo

 

it actually turned into one long buzz, as one member described it like an old p-51 mustang fighter plane starting up.


what exactly does the servo motor do? where's it located? is it easy/cheap to replace?
