Default Bought a can of Seafoam.

Someone please give me some re-assurance in doing this. I'm scared.lol I read a lot of posts (and DIY's) where there is step-by-step instructions and things to avoid but I still fill unsure. I have 101K miles on her and she's my daily driver. I wouldn't want to screw anything up. Anyone here have first hand experience with this stuff?

find a vacuum near the intake manifold and use that to suck up the sea foam

Brake booster line is okay. They're all sources of vacuum lines that all come from the intake system. I use the PVC valve instead because I dont like touching anything relating to the master cylinder area.

Not all hose will provide the same amount of vacuum The brake booster will have a lot more suction than the lines before the throttle body. I use the PVC because it's adequate enough, but I still have someone rev the engine to about 2k rpm regardless

do what you gotta do homie, but in my opinion and experience with seafoam, used on a maxima VQ30DE with 130k, the damage is basically done. You might see a marginal improvement but i'd sooner spring for Restore treatment than seafoam...

....wait, you mean from the use of the Seafoam? or just in general from having a car with high(er) mileage? LMK

For a car like the GS I'd just 2 cans just because its a 6 cyl or 8
Use 1/3 for the vacuum line after teh car is warmed up 1/4 way(temp);
just let it suck in and turn the car off (let it sit) longer it sits the more it cleans.....

The next third in the oil..

The next third in the gas tank..

After at least 30 minutes or so start her up and then drive her in L or 2nd (near redline) till all your smoke is gone. Change the oil in about under 150 miles.

Also get the deep creep and spray the Throttle Body
And get MAF cleaner and clean out your MAF too

I would think that any foaming product would leave residue.

In the beaker of Sea Foam, fuel and colored water, you can see that the Sea Foam did not absorb the water, allowing it to settle immediately to the bottom of the beaker. In the spoon burn test, the Sea Foam has a medium flash point, burns extremely dirty and sooty, with no lubrication or secondary cleaning agents
I personally would want residue free motor internals.. That is why I get it proffessionally done.. Bilstein process & the Runrite fuel injection service ftw..

^^Werd. I've only used seafoam once or twice on my car. I went with a fuel injector service and my car improved much more than seafoam ever did. Plus it cleans more than seafoam itself. Lucas fuel injector cleaner provides nice lubrication. Got my noisy injectors quiet almost instantly!

Take off the engine cover and the PVC should be located very near the engine oil tube. It's the hose that connects to the valve cover. You do not need to pull out the entire PVC, just the hose itself.
