Hey guys, my name is Chris.

I don't currently have my Lexus, actually going to fill out all the paperwork today , so I will be getting pics up asap.

It is a 1999 GS300, has about 119000 miles on it, but it is in excellent condition.

My question is; How hard is it to replace the factory stereo with an after market HU? I've come to notice that luxury car makers do not like you to be able to replace their stuff easily!

do you have OEM navi or not? If you have the regular system, then replacing the headunit is easy providing you bypass the OEM amplifier.

 

thats still one thing I haven't done after 2 years of ownership ;/

+1 i finnaly added my eclipse nav after 5 years of ownership! its not hard its just that i just slacked a bit on installing it!

 

I wish somebody would teach me how to change OEM Navi to aftermarket HU! Then I'd jump right on it...

Yeah unfortunately, I was thinking the wrong model and its the ES300, . I can be pretty dump some times, lol.

Good news is that I did the car though, and it drives like a champion!
