Cool, thanks for your opinions on wheels. It seems like the everyone here has 20x8.5 Front 20x10 Rear. I'm gonna go that route too, but just not yet.

What foose model of wheels do you have L3XOTIC?

not the case man... look around the forum for more options. theres a large range of wheel and tire setups to be found on here most of which are purpose built and chosen to work with specific suspension setups, fitment requirements, etc...expand your search for a decent set of wheels beyond your local craigslist. don't be surprised when you need to spend more then the $2k you mentioned for a quality wheel and tire setup...

lastly, get the car first...you can be posting up craigslist photos and getting peoples opinions on wheels forever but its pointless without a car to bolt them up to...and since youre working with classifieds sales theres a 99% chance everything you're showing/asking about will be gone before you even get the car in your driveway. good luck with your buy on 4/22.

Ok guys I found the wheels I want! They are these really sweet looking Vertini Hennessey's, I love the black/chrome and the 4" lip on them.

The price is great too, right in my budget @ $1700

Let me know if you guys like them.

It's a little bit of a drive to pick them up, but I think it's well worth it.

i think you're missing the point on needing to do a little more research. do you have any idea on the offsets of these wheels? they're not going to look exactly like they do on that brand new gs when you bolt them up to a 2nd gen. you need to ask the seller for more info about them and make sure they are going to fit "your car" properly.

I know bro, I got the point. I know how to research, I obviously plan to put in at least 15-20 hours between 04/20/08 through 04/25/08 of hardcore researching on these forums dedicated to what wheel/tire/suspension setup I want to go with. All the answers are very easy to find using the SEARCH BUTTON. This site has more info then any other lexus forum board out there, it's awesome!

I just found these vertini's and posted them up to get some opinions on them just like I said I would in multiple previous posts.

So how do you guys like this design?

Have you heard anything about this company?

Is this about what you want your car to eventually look like?

Forget about 20's unless you want a crappy ride. The car seems like a steal but you should carfax it first as well as gettin a pre sale inspection at a lexus dealership . If you need a carfax run for it then just pm me with the VIN number.

Cool, I've done a carfax on it and it's clean. Just to be safe I think I will take your advice and bring it to a lexus dealer for an inspection. I'm going to try to get this scheduled for 04/22/08.

My buddy Dave had 20's on his GS and in my opinion his car had a much smoother ride then my poorly built blazer...

His was 1998 with 90,000 miles and had amazingly well kept interior...

ALRIGHT!!@#!@ Who bought my car? :P

I just called up the seller to verify were all good to meet up tonight after work so I could buy the car and he tells me he already sold it for $8500 which was his asking price, I had him down to $7500. I'm soo bummed out

BUT, there is another GS300 for sale that I'm taking a look at tomorrow night...

It has 40k more miles. It's still under KBB...
