Default Spark Plug Wires

Need your Opinion guys Im about to do my tune up on my car spark plug wires are $165.00 i have 120k miles should i replace the wires or just the spark plug? I just bought my Torque masters yesterday from Carson Thanks

Our cars dont use have spark plug wires...We run a distributorless ignition system.

we actually still do run spark plug wires.

on the 2GS300, we have 3 ignition coils over 3 of the spark plugs, then a short spark plug wire runs from the ignition coil to one each spark plug.

the price you list sounds more like the ignition coils.

yea there are three coils and there is three spark plug wires and this price is for the wires itself i cant imagine how much it is for the coils . I just replaced the spark plugs. the wires looked ok what a difference it made with the torque masters and also cleaned my throttle body. I can feel my power again

Oh you're talking about that plug. Usually regular spark plug wires are referred to those traditional wires found in older car. The V8-series GS do not use such wires. We have a direct link from the coil to the plugs.

yeah, i think on the 2jz, they just draw the power from the coil, instead of each spark plug having its own coil. =/

so should he replace these wires? that's actually my question too. my experience is, if there is nothing wrong with something, keep it? yeah?

I would swap them out. With 120k miles on the car the heat etc can cause deterioration of the actual conductivity of the wires as well as the shielding and the rubber protection around the wires. NGK makes a wire set which is relatively inexpensive considering the part does not need to be changed every so often. It also has less resistance therefore a better spark. The wire set should run around $40. The part number is TE79.

and i heard as for spark plugs it's best to get the ngk iridium ix?

NGK's OE Laser Iridium are best for stock cars, at least I think so. They are more expensive than the iridium IX though but not by much.
