I am having more difficulty than I expected in choosing the proper 20 inch wheel set-up for my GS430 that require no mods. I think it would be a good idea/beneficial for not just me but many other members as well if we could get everyone with 20" wheels on their second gen GS who did not have to roll the fenders/or do other mods to post the exact size front and back along with offset. The SC guys were doing this and I would like to see what exact dimensions people with 20's are running without modifications. Pictures would be great too!

currently running rolled fenders, lowered more, 15mm spacer for the rear.

I dont ever seem to find any real, solid information that have pics provided. This is such a big investment that I must be certain that the wheels will look right once on the car. Do you by chance have any pics of your set-up? Thanks.

Well, that depends on your definition of "looks right." To some of us more "aggressive" guys, the everyday 20x8.5 +35> and 20x10 +43> doesn't look particularly "right." But if you want a slam-dunk set-up this is a good range for you to be in.

You might want to pick a style you like first and see if it comes in the offset and width range you need. No point in falling in love with some type of wheel made (for example) a G35 coupe with offsets in the +22 range. Those could be made to work, but are not a bolt-on deal.

Well, I have decided that the only wheel I want for our GS430 are the Asanti AF135's. They are a custome 3 piece wheel, so I assume I can have any offset I want..for the most part. I will not be dropping the car and intend to keep it stock besides the wheels. I would love to see pics of a GS with 20x8.5 with a +38 offset in front and a 20x10 with a 40-42 offset in back. This is what I have been thinking off..but would like to physically see it first and know that I will not have fitment or rubbing issues.

i had my rear fenders rolled flat professionally. took roughly 4hrs, but was well worth it.

i got my hands on a fender roller, and with the help of a heat gun, i tried to roll my fronts. haha, u can totally see it was done by an amatuer. the only issue was the fender roller couldnt know swing back past the caliper as the roller arm hit up against the caliper. so the small amount of fender that i could not roll, i just used a small hammer and the heat gun. it turned out ok i guess but either way, the car needs to go to the bodyshop to fix.

correction, my rear wheels are 20x10 +43. with the 15mm adapter/spacer, the offset is closer to +28

20x10 42 offset rear
ltuned suspension with no rubbing issues but shaved fender anyways just in case.. Good luck

I believe a 20x8.5 / 20x10 setup with 245/30/20 in front and 285/25/20 in rear will work on my 2004 GS300. Please confirm, thanks.

i think a 285 is WAY too wide. but if you are not lowering it, which definitely isnt my style, you may clear. Yakuza may chime in as he knows his stuff on setting up a wheel to perfection. And most people with Perfect fitments hold the offset # dear to their heart to each his own.

I think imma do what Tim did and use the same setup:
20x8x5 38 offset front
20x10 42 offset rear

Now for the question on the tires. Should I get 275/30 or what ?
