I have the 1999 GS400, just swap the new engine in it, now the car starts beautiful but some reason when i hit the brake and try to shift the gear P - R, it doesn't shift, i have to use the shift Lock to shift the gear the are runs and drive, some one plz help me on this thanks A lot Ali

 

It could be your shift lock control unit located near the shifter.

i got the nice deal on Engine paid 1000 shipped to my home

Engine is Starting strong and we installed our self

 

Could be your brake light switch located behind the brake pedal.
