That's some straight up "rice" tire stretching. I never understood the concept behind it. I'd be laughing in your face (or maybe behind you) if I see someone's car like that in person.

hipari... look it up.

some like it to eliminate roll, some say it's not good cause need contact patch. but who needs rubber contact patch if you're rolling on a gs pickin` up chicks? the only rubber you need is the one in your glove box! ;)

How is that rice noob? Please explain. It's rice when people get 19x8 +45 offset rims, and THEN stretch the tires, where its NOT NEEDED. When the wheels are flush, and you need a SLIGHT stretch to fit the tires/rims 'properly' then it's fine.

Because the contact patch is on the sidewall? :uh:

Noob, compared to you? Why not just get the proper offset, thus eliminating the need to stretch tiny ass tires, and slap on some proper 295/305 tires.

man... if "rice" is running a stretch so your tires clear your fenders instead of ripping them off when you lower your car, i guess you're right, this is rice... this pic is one of the prime examples of when a stretch is necessary.

its just a style, some people like the extremely slammed/tires must be stretched to fit look. you've been around for a long time im sure you know some guys roll more vip while others like the sportier less dumped wide tire look.

lol.. don't worry about it. i just want to see some good rims/offset in my thread. not a pissin contest about what's good what's not on stretch tires.

i personally love stretch tires, the way it looks the way it handles. i mean properly stretch. not a 215 on a 9 inch rims.. but a 265 on a 11.5 or something like that..

anyway, any more pics and info? thanks!!!

swat1727 Feb 20, 2008 11:10 AM

unless u have air ride... i seen some ppl drop the car all the way down when parked, but i dont think they will drive it like that tho

Zishan Feb 20, 2008 11:48 AM

Some people might think it's ricey to put Nissan/Infiniti wheels on a Lexus. :) I'm not saying that, but...
