Ok, 98 gs 400 2dr bulbs just got it from DEE. Had car 1 week, driver side headlight out, swap bulbs without checking fuses, put new bulb blows fuce instantly. Read a couple of treads it might be the ballast. Question if anyone has a DY link/tread. how hard/pain in the aZZ is it to replace ballast.....
im looking at a few in ebay, denzo ok to get,type?

just in case, i need a hard drive for the 98 gs navi,(CHECK HARD DRIVE) on screen when Map info is pressed....

 

On oem headlight, I believe you have to remove the entire headlamp to gain access to remove the ballast.

You could try just unplug the oem ballast on both ends and run a aftermarket ballast...

well i read that aftermarket ballast dont last as long so i want to make sure i can do this and be good for a couple of years. i saw a tread on how to remove the headlight to remove the amber lens on the headlight but i havent read anything about how to remove it so i was hoping there was a do it yourself tread on it. well to unplug wouldnt i have to get to it by removing the headlight also?
