Smile Red inner tail light question

Maybe i'm not searching the right key word cause i couldn't find what i was looking for, so here goes....

I have the 01+ outer tails in my 98 GS and now the inner tails look pinkish. So are the 01+ inner tails more red than the older ones. Or is it because mine are older and just faded. I want to match the color a little better and wasn't sure if i was wasting my time getting 01+ inner tails to help this mix-matched problem.

Thanks in advance,
Kyle

might just be that you have a 98 and they are weathered.

well....when the tails are not illuminated, they look fine. It's when you press the brakes that the inner tails look pinkish. And i mean, there is a major difference.

that's what i was wondering. I just didn't want to get some pre 01 inner tails and find out the problem was still there. that's why i was wondering if they were more red on the 01+.

Damn!!! I have been looking for "newer" inner tails FOREVER! If any1 just bought a complete new set of LED tails and want to off-load your inners please PM me ASAP!

I am going to take a compounding wheel to these inners and see if I can bring these back to life...that's all they might need. If the plastic lens itself is red in color then I will just "remove" a very fine layer of the weathered lens; then buff like crazy. We'll see what happens, maybe I can save some bucks!

Why would I want to do that? I don't want LED tails or LED looking tails...it's not my thing. I just want my inner stock tails to burn more red using the conventional bulb so it would match the stock '01 outer tails that I have.
