Unhappy Whistling noise, GS 300, 2002

I hear a whistling noise when I first put the car in gear....the noise goes away after a minute or so driving, but then comes back faintly....any ideas?

can you pin point where you hear the noise? That would help direct our attentions to specific possibilities.

is it coming from the driver side vents? or maybe the vents in the middle of the dash?

Check to see that something did not fall into the vent and is vibrating with your a/c causing it to whistle. You would hear this at start up and then again as you accelerate. Outside of that I would not know what to tell you.

It might be your belt making that sound, but not sure.
