Default OEM HID conversion

I apologize if this has been discussed before. I have searched CL and Yahoo and Google but to no avail. I have even contacted the sponsors about getting the parts but they keep telling me to go to the Ricer shops for a set of ricer lights. So here goes.

I have gotten a hold of a pair of HID housings. They are complete with the motors, auto-leveling computer, ballasts and bulbs. I really want to do this right and challenges in this kind of automotive work is a joy for me. I really want the leveling computer to work but I have no harness to hook this up. What parts are needed for this job? What kind of harness is involved with the leveling computer to the car and the other harness to the other motor? Is is a simple hookup to the relay that rests just behind the driver's side headlights or is there is something I must purchase. I don't care what the cost, just want to get it done right. Hell, I even want to see the leveling error light on the dash to work.

Like I said before, this sounds to me to be a fun job. Please someone tell me just how much fun it is. Me and my friend love this kind of work. And if there is someone here with part numbers that will be awsome too.

Thanks in advance!!

Ok for all those who are also wondering I just found out at a Lexus dealership (finally found one who was real enough to talk to me without referring me to the ricer shop)

It seems that its just a all in one direct harness assembly from both headlamps to the rest of the car. Sounds easy right?? I also found out that the dealership wanted $3000 for just the wires. So I am calling around for that harness and I will get it and when I do.....mwa..mwwaa...mwwwaahahahaha!!!

What they didn't mention is that in a car that comes with the HID has 2 sensors. One in the front wheel well and one in the rear wheel well that the auto leveling system uses to make adjustments (correct me if I'm wrong in regards to its location). These are both located on the driver side.

Ooooh, so there is more to it. I was starting to think this job was going to be relatively boring. I thought the sensors were completely in the computer mounted to one of the headlamp assemblies.

Well so far I have a lead...I think. There is a pick-n-pull salvage yard a few miles from me. We'll see if I can get any luck with this. At least I can see how and where everything is connected before I get crazy and possibly find those sensors GSoup was talking about.

Why not just retrofit? Getting the auto leveling feature to work I heard is a huge pain in the ***.

I love doing stuff like this. Just need the general directions. When I hit up the auto salvage yard and I will see where all the wires go as I take the harness apart off the doner car. Perhaps there are more sensors or more computers. Even more stuff for me to bolt on to the car. I will let ya'll know how much trouble it is. I will take one for the team.

is the auto levelling really worth all that.
you are just fine with all you have right now.you got hid headlights, ballasts and bulbs which is all you really need.
you can always level them manually by turning the screws behind the lights.
if the auto-levelling would not run more than a few hundreds, then it might be worth it but anything close to a thousand or more? i would forget it.
but good luck anyways.
