I did a search and did not see a thread on 60K service costs. I have a GS430 01 and have 59600 or so. I want to avoid the stealership if possible and have a local shop www.toyotechs.com that will do the 60K for around $400 - does that sound about right?

 

Prior owner had dealer do 60K service. $656.60 Labor + $272.87 Parts = $929.17 Thats without a T belt replacement.

 

Depends on what they are going to do for $400.
Differrent shops throw other stuff that they say you need or should get done for 60k service. So find out what is eactly included.

Here is what the 01 GS430 sevice manual reccomends- except for the transmission and differntial fluids. The manual says the the tranny and diff. oil replacement only needs it if car is driven in special conditions. But some get it to be extra cautious.

If they do every that JPI reccomends for 60K service (including tranny and diff. Oil) then $400 is a steal of a deal.

 

This 60k service runs $365+ tax at our shop. Toyotech folks know their stuffs and offer great service. I've heard many great things about them.
