Default Nav Hack question

Hi all
Can someone tell me how to over-ride the nav on a 2001 GS 430.
I believe it is a 2/3 generation.
Thanks

Default found the answer

I found the answer

2001 GS430
Press the menu button, then choose system option.
Press the top left of the screen, then the bottom left of the screen,
then the top left again, then the bottom left again,
then finally touch the bottom right of the screen. It will bring up a
system menu.
Choose the override button, then hit back.

2004 Rx-330,
Touch the DVD button from the Menu screen
then follow the directions from above.
The system menu pops up with the Override button

For those of us who have the stock speakers with a nav system. There is a way to hack into the nav and customize the levels of sound. I will try to find the thread that tells you how this is done. Here it is. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...t=pioneer+hack

Hack what? The older style cars still let you choose a destination while the car is rolling.

Is there absolutely no navigation override for 98-00 GSs? It makes me hate using my nav so much because me or passenger can't punch in stuff when I'm driving. When I'm on the highway trying to figure out where I am, the nav is pretty much useless.

I seriously don't know what you guys are talking about. From the time I've owned my car (from about 2001) I've never had a problem entering a destination while the car's moving. I just tested and confirmed again last night while driving on the highway.

2000 GS400 Platinum Edition, but it shouldn't make any difference.

Yup the HD based one . The HD one should be the one that lets you input a destination while the car's moving. I've driven some DVD based ones (the newer model Lexuses), which I have to do the override thing on. But on my GS I've always had no problem.

Am I the only one? I always thought it was like that...

You must have some special navigation, because mine only lets me navigate home if I'm moving.
