Ebay has another auction Item number: 260406302070 for the FC-280PT-20150 (a little weaker) the good thing is in the pictures it looks like the shaft is on the correct side without the sleeve. Might be a direct drop in. The picture doesn't show the connector. I sent a email for additional pictures. I'm done with my actuators. This might help someone else.

not sure if the motor itself is a direct swap, but the cap is a direct swap...... i should have mine in a week or so, so i cant tell whether they actually drop in or not before the auction ends

but at a bid of $15 for 50 of them thats a sweet deal! i paid 7.50 for my 4

Just wondering if any of the members here are experiencing the same problem - I swapped out my actuators with the Mabuchi RC motors from eBay and 3 of them only lasted me for a couple of weeks (2 weeks tops).

Long story short, the motors are getting burnt out and this is my third time replacing my actuators. Maybe some of you guys can shine some light on this.

ok just puttin in my .02........ just got my 4 motors in today (the 20150's)...... THE SHAFT IS ON THE WRONG SIDE! SO I WOULDNT WASTE MY TIME BUYING THEM IN BULK, unless people want to swap the caps over (which i guess is easier than switching the coupler :shrug: )

however they DO work, as stated above in another post, a simple swap of the cap and bushing onto the old motor and its as good as new!! i finally have a passenger door lock! hopefully it will last me a good while

just thought i would let folks know that the 20150's are safe to buy and work with the cap swap

I just replace my motor succesfully.
I did it on both sides of the front door.
First the passenger side door. On this door I use the FC-280PT-20150. The shaft is on the wrong side, so I only use the cap with brushes. In other word I replace the old cap with a new one from this motor as described in previous post. Nothing new.
Next, driver side door. I use FC-280SC-20150. The shaft is a little bit too long. I cut it using Dremel cutter to the correct length. Fit perfectly as a replacement of the original motor.
But you must use the old coupler with the new motor.
It's easy if you use a mini puller (available on eBay for $12 - $15) to pull the coupler, and then put it back on the new motor, using bench vise to press it into the shaft.

Everything is easy once you did it.
But I did broke my connector cable, as seen in the picture. Glued with JB Weld, as suggested by othater.
So be careful!
I do think replacing the motor is easier than replacing the cap.
And you may consider that not only the brush that got worn out, but also the commutator. So replacing the whole motor should be better.
The FC-280SC-20150 has less torque than the original FC-280PT-22125, but it seems it's enough to do the job.
Oh, forget to mention that I got FC-280SC-20150 from eBay, advertised as FC-280PT-20150.
He was wrong, it's actually FC-280SC-20150. The real FC-280PT-20150 is the one with the shaft on the wrong side.

The right one is the original motor with the coupler removed.
On the left one I taped a small guide for cutting.
You can't use the cap only because it has different notch than the original.
Look at the bottom of this picture, the original has 1 notch on each side in the middle, while the other has 2 smaller notch on each side.

If the remote will not unlock the doors, is it the driver door that needs the actuator? If not, how do you troubleshoot it to find which door it is?

lock all doors manually. Press unlock and check to see which doors does not open. Each door has an actuator.
