W55 swap questions
Hey guys looking at swapping my gs300 with a w55 and I've been looking for writeups so far i've found out that I will need to do a wiring work, drill a hole for the clutch mount the clutch and removed the ebrake, and a driveshaft with a differential adapter. If you guys know anything else I would need or do to get this swap done. I'm trying to swap it this summer.

Id consider going with a better transmission like a CD009. I'm assuming you have more aspirations for the car. Anyone doing a swap likely would. The W series are weak transmissions that were mainly use in 4 cyl Toyota applications. For some reason it got stuck behind an I6 IS300 as the W55 variant with an aluminum case, even weaker than the prior iron units. It has been notorious for being very limited to stock-ish power levels. Up to you at the end of the day.
For any manual swap I'd get a hold of one of these:

Yeah, for now I wanna stay stock power I really dont have anything done besides headers and exhaust so nothing crazy. But I want to manual swap it, I know the W series trans are weak but Im also still in college so its the best I can afford around my area. Eventually I plan on getting more power and a way better trans. Thanks for the link for the emulator helped a lot couldn't find it anywhere.

If the W55 is weaker than the W58 it is solely due to the different reduction gear ratio, everything else about the two are the same (excluding the IS300's slightly longer input shaft and dual-mass flywheel).
