Default Vsc Vscoff

Hey guys. Has anybody had their GS stall and the engine light, vsc, and vscoff light come on? I then turn off the car and wait for a while....then the lights came off. Weird huh?

A while back when I first got my exhausts installed I was on the highway and decided I wanted to hear my new exhausts and intake so I put the car in neutral and hit the gas, took up to about 6k rpm or so. All the lights on the dashboard lit up and the car stalled so I had to pull over and turn the car back on. "Don't try this at home."

mine does that atleast once a month, for reasons I dont know. But it'll happen when I get in the car, turn the car on, and try to start driving....I wont get any response from pressing the gas pedal, I'll look at my gauges and sure enough those lights come on. I turn the car off...wait about a minute...turn it on again and the lights are gone. Could never figure it out, even after trying to search the forums.

It's happened twice too while driving on the freeway...that was scary!!! The car just started slowing down and the guage lights came on. One time I was close enough to the shoulder to pull over...the 2nd I just hit the gas pedal all the way down to get somekind accelaration going, and it worked. But definitely scary

Better yet don't do it at all. You have to be careful how high those rpm's go.

I think your MAF sensor or air filter might be dirty. Also, check in the throttle body and make sure it's not all gunked up in there. When the MAF is dirty, it can't meter air very well, and especially at low velocity. When you're idling, slow cruising, or let off the gas abruptly...that causes the air to slow down significantly.

its the little black box connected towards the front of the air intake box.

In my case, I may just need to get a new MAF because in addition to the VSC issues, I also get pinging from time to time.

Thanks guyz! I hope after cleaning both the MAF sensor and the air filter...this will not happen again.
