'98-'00. I wonder how the headlight housings would look if they were color matched. I might buy a spare set down the road and do it. If it doesn't look good then I'll paint them flat black.

How did you smoke the side lights? Do they sell them like that? I've ovle seen "crystal" ones.

New goodies. eBay smoked front bumper side lights.

They are actually "smoked" not blacked out. They have a tinted plastic, so it won't rub off. They look nice in person. Not the usual cheapBay quality you might think it is.

I'm assuming you are talking about my OEM side lights. No, I'm keeping them. I always keep my OEM parts. Sorry. Are your broken?

Default Amb 98 ls400

What’s up guys, I have a 98 AMB LS400 out in Austin, Texas. 164k miles. Bought it Christmas eve 2021 with 159k a week before getting laid off New Year’s Eve and shortly before gas prices doubled 😂
I’ve never seen another one this color even before owning. The few I’ve seen around town are either white or gold and none of them have the OEM wheels I do which feels nice lol. I definitely need some body and paint work done and the clear coat redone though

-My interior is gold but I plan to reupholster to a darker brown to match the AMB.
-I plan on installing the massaging/heated/cooled back seat and air ride system from a UCF21(or build my own air ride system if I feel motivated)
-id like to buy a second set of the OEM wheels and have them made into 3 piece wheels
-I’m going to install a permanent roof rack(sorry not sorry)
-I replaced all the interior lights and license plate lights with LEDs but I kind of hate it so I’m thinking of going to halogen
-installed lexus logo projector lamps(eBay $20) in the doors
-15% tint front driver and passenger
-5% every where else(moonroof, rear passenger windows, 10” eyebrow on windshield)
-plan on doing 5% ceramic tint all around and 35% entire windshield when I can
-about to install apple car play play with rear view camera
-blacked out all my badges(looking for chrome gold)
-leaving headlights as HIDs but changing daytime running lights, brights, blinkers, fog lights, tail lights to LED
-chopping off the cat and 2 mufflers after I pass inspection lol

I can’t think of anything else but yeah I traded my 2003 bmw 325i for this and as fun of a car as it was it wasn’t me. I love the land yachts and with the 1uz there’s plenty of power to have fun and even drift here and there when it’s wet. I’ll have it forever and hopefully my kids can ride in it one day

Future readers:

I’m getting 18mpg city, 22.5 gallon gas tank and I just paid $4.89/gal in Austin, Texas on 3/21/22

Comment your stats I’m interested

follow my tik tok or instagram
both @prettydecent****

my tik tok has lots of LS400 owners floating around and it’s a fun little community and it’s fun to see everyone’s mods if anyones interested
