Congrats! Now you have to convince the wifey on getting mods done, make it sound like the mods are meant to be done

Hey Guys just to answer some of your questions:

1) I am in Vallejo (V-towne!!!!fo' life....that's ghetto...mumbles)

2) I got it for $16,000 from a very nice older couple in the Peninsula. the wife is a fellow REALTOR® and she barely drove the car. It looks brand new inside and out and only has 73K on the clock. They also gave me the records and it was meticulously kept. I feel really blessed to find this car after looking at a couple of others that went for a lot more.

3) Mods I plan:

1) '01 tails or those ebay JP knockoffs.
2) Remove the stock "wing" and put on a lip spoiler and if money is ok, shave the inner tails. I want to keep the ride stock so although I am tempted to lower it, I think Iwill just stand pat on that

Lastly, Thanks for all the welcomes, I have been on this board since November and frequented here more than acuraworld.com or acura-legend.com ( I drove an RL-Which I sold to get the GS Yay!!!! ) I like the info you guys put out and the GS is WAYYYYY easier to mod than the RL.

Thanks all!!!

So have you convinced her about the mods yet? That is a whole another ball of wax.

Congrats on the purchase. What year is it? 73k is not bad for a 98-00.

All you have to do with Wifey is say that a part needs "replacing" Then you buy the aftermarket part instead and she's none the wiser.

It worked great with my 92 Miata. I was able to "replace" the entire suspension with Eibach springs and KYB 8-way adjustable shocks, I "replaced" the rotors with powerslots and I was about to "replace" the "old" turbo but we sold it after having our daughter.......

I wonder if the GS400's "turbo" needs "replacement"???? Hmmmmm.

HAHA. I think she will definitely notice and wonder about why the car is gone for a few months.
