What's a good vacuum source to pour Seafoam into?
I'm having a little bit of a trouble finding a good vacuum line that's long enough to be placed into a can of Seafoam.
On other cars I've always used the vacuum line that runs into the brake booster. However I can't seem to find that line. I currently have the engine cover on which is covered by a strut bar, so I would like to avoid removing the engine cover if possible. 2000 GS400. |
is that normal to place seafoam into the combustion chambers by way of a intake vacuum? Seems to me a definite no-no, i could be wrong though.

It's supposed to clean up carbon build ups. I've used it in my Supra with no ill effects, and others have done it as well.
The only effect is a cool smoke show that'll last for minutes coming out of your exhaust. |
Yeah I used to do it with Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner (MCCC) on my DSM turbos all the time ....
ehhemmm the fire dept. was even called in one time ......... DaveC |
I used the PCV on the right side of the engine bay (same side as the oil cap). You gotta remove the engine cover though.

OK, I guess I'll spend some time of out my morning and do it tomorrow. I didn't wanna remove the engine cover. My strut bar is a little weird in the fact that I gotta jack the car up to relieve the stress on the suspension. Then push the struts down so the bar will clear it.
