I did the swap in 6 evenings after work. I would say hourly it took me roughly 20-30 hours (removal of old and install of new with fuel lines, welding up ic piping etc.... ) after prepping the motor outside the car.

It's a manifold I sourced from some buddies on Supraforums. I'm an oldtime Mkiv owner.

Thanks for the talent comment, lol. Just experience thats all

Not much to say except WOW!!! In just 6 weeks using your spare time you did something very few of us, including myself, could do with those kind of finished results.

What car did the motor & trany come out of, and which "Stock ECU/Stock MAF" did you use? Ive spoken with you through PM's but for some reason I thought I remember you saying you did an Aristo swap. If so is it the "stock" aristo ecu & MAF?

Thanks & when are you coming back to MD? Im trying to check it out

Yea your right, it is an Aristo swap. I was referring more to the fact i was running a stock maf/stock ecu for fuel control for the most part with just an Afc to tune it a little bit. I'm not running a haltech or aem etc... as usually the question arises about engine management.

So are you running GS ecu/maf for fuel and Aristo for engine control?

No, I'm running an Aristo ecu and maf with an Afc to tune with. There are ways to trick the ecu for your setup (like running stock maf and ecu on a 67mm single turbo at 17lbs) that are simple and effective. For instance, I've had my setup running the way it is now for months including a 3000mi roadtrip and the car is running the same A/F as when I did the fine tuning with my afc, and yes, I am using an Obd II based ecu.

I'm running stock ecu with this turbo setup and 25% larger injectors and have rock steady A/F's even though some people on this forum say thats impossible, lol.

Fuel cut you run a Greddy Bcc, Speed cut I havent got rid of yet as it doesnt really bother me (I hardly ever take my car above 80-90max on public roads) but I will be working on removing it as it will limit quarter mile times(speed cut is 112mph if I remember correctly) and I feel I could trap well over that as the car sits right now. I have an Hks Speed Cut Def. but from some research speed cut on the vvti motor is a little more complex than just adding the Hks unit as you start running into problems with tranny control (shifting). I've been talking with a few of my sources overseas about speed cut on the Vvti motors but again, I haven't researched the topic extensivly.
