Would you sell your GS430 for a Caddy CTS-V(400 hp 6 speed)?

It really matters which GM car we're talking about. A 2 year old V depreciated just as much as a 2 year old GS.
My '98 GS400 right now is worth somewhere around 14-15K now. A '98 C5 with similar miles is actually worth a few grand more. Both cars stickered about the same, actually a C5 coupe stickered less and is still worth more.

I agree with you guys, the only thing I like more than my GS is the drivetrain....
maybe I'll have to just find something fast to beat on and keep the GS. maybe a 87-93 notch 5.0 stang. I want a V8, and mt. not really into the camaros, gto is still too much $ for a beater and looks like a 4 cylinder 1987 pontiac grand am.
any other suggestions?

here are a few examples of what I'd like to have. still love the stangs but the ls2/6 speed is enticing. unreal what notchback stangs go for these days too....

Go sit in one, I did a couple weeks ago and I really thought the interior was pretty decent. Caddy made some interior changes in 04 and that was the year I looked at, my dad is also driving an 04 srx caddy SUV and that thing is a great car. Im looking to pick up an 04 or so CTS at the moment, V6 though, but with all the options if I can.
This is all coming from someone who just sold their 1998 GS400, and I cannot figure out why people think the 2gs's interior is THAT much better.
For the money a cadillac is a great deal. 04 w/30k will run me about 17k loaded to the max, and they drive nicely too, much more stiff suspension than the gs.

There are always crazy people posting their car up for sale on AutoTrader. To know what they are really going for look at Ebay. I just sold a mint 1993 LX hatch 5.0 with 68,000 miles for $6,000. For $13,000 you can get a mint 10sec Mustang. A lot of people that try to sell on Autotrader are on crack...

ideal for me would be a stock black/grey 92 notch(last year forged pistons)5 speed.

Well to be honest i would say sell the gs and buy an sts-v...my dad owns one and i think its one of the best cars i've ever driven... the interior is nice plus there is a ton of room and if your in the mood to go fast then just push the pedal and hang on.
