I love that quote!!!

My wife handles my S2000 very nicely...she'd driven the Tail of the Dragon in it, and has some seat time at Gingerman Raceway. Don't get caught revving on her at a light in my Integra. She knows full well what the K-swapped car can do and will run almost any guy that will try. She is most definitely a 'car-girl'....getting the S2000 back in 2000 was her choice.

In anycase, I do need a bigger car. The X3 is not on the list. The 325 was the first and last BMW and German car I will own....that is until they engineer cars like what Honda and Toyota do. I work on my own cars, I mod my own cars, in the midst of it all, reliability is my priority (hence to turbos, superchargers, etc. to cars that do not come with it from the factory).

With the BMW, the way almost every system is designed to work or anchor off of every other system, working on the BMW was a pain like no other. Modding one item, required me to remove several other items and mod them. Something simple like adding a CAI involved messing with a mount on a headlight, baffling the MAF sensor, and "socking" the filter. Go figure.

I have a disease, every car I've owned (and will own) will be modded. There's no two ways about it....I'll try not to mod it, but it always happens. I modded my wife's 5spd CRV, and I even bought myself a modded beater Integra. I ended up doing a full ground up rebuild on that car. I'm sure if I get this GS300, it won't stay the same as I bought it for too long (first off would be to remove the ICE and the lighting).

If and when I get an Element, I'll have plans for it as well. In fact, I already have plans for it!

LOl. I didn't mean to be sexist. (sorry ladies)
My lady finds the GS to be too big to drive since she is only 5'3. Your wife is unique, lets swap ladies I did not know you guys were so much into the modding thing. Hey, get the GS then and mode the hell outta it. Suspension should be a main focus with these carsas these cars are not as balanced as the Bimmers. I really want to see what you will do with that Honda Element. I never saw a modded version

I think getting a larger car like the GS is a good move. My wife and i just had a baby 5 months ago and a small car like the 3 series would've been problematic with a baby seat. Yeah, you could get the baby seat in, but the passenger seat would have to be pushed up all the way making it uncomfortable for the rider. Also, the truck space is MUCH larger than a 3 series, which you'll find will be an issue when you start putting a baby in tow with strollers, diaper bags, etc.
good move to the GS (IMO)
