I was wondering what brand condenser did you use when changing your condenser?

OEM is wayyy to expensive, but the aftermarket one looks like cheap shiet.

I bought a "Silla" brand condenser and its supposed to be OEM quality. The fins run vertical throughout the whole thing and have no kind of horizontal support like the oem one does.

I'll report back to let you guys know if it keeps the a/c cool like the stock does. Baby is going into the shop tomorrow to get the freon recharged/recycled with the new silla condenser.

On a side note, is it ricey of me to want to put a grille behind my bumper to stop rocks from ever hitting my condenser again?

Mine was changed out back in 01. I think the dealer replaced it though. I hope that one works out for you.

Be aware that the OEM condenser is black. When I picked up my RX300, the after market condenser they used is silver and you can see it as it stands out behind the grill and under the bumper. I wish they had told me in advance of this difference. Other than that, I was very happy with the service provided, so I mentioned it when picking up my car but didn't formally complain. Maybe I'm being over sensitive. Has anyone else had an issue with the after market condenser color? I'm not sure the brand they used. Should I pursue getting it fixed with the OEM condenser that is black?

I have had condensers changed on other cars, namely Toyotas and they were always black, never got a silver one. I would have definitely said something.
