Jeff, your pic is down. I'd like to see what this white gauge looks like too. All the OEM ones I've seen had the slight green tint to it.

maybe some of the people that claim they have white gauges actually have green ones. god knows dashocker probably wasnt the only one. maybe we should have people post pics of their gauges so we all get a better understanding of the difference.

i know mine are green. ive been thinking of contacting OLT about a white cluster upgrade, but i might just get the 01+ instrument panel so maybe that will switch the color to white. i guess we'll never know, since there isnt any sense of correlation in between who has white and who has green.

Hahaha. Well I have white/green gauges in 01-430.

I have taken a TV course that explains how eyes see color. Have to remember sometimes we see color differently. We are trained as babies to learn to see color.

For example the color purple does not even exist, and is not a real color in the color spectrum. It's a synthetic/man made color. We all see purple differently since we have to make our eyes learn it when would were babies. In the first 2 years of being a kid, if you are not exposed to purple, more than likely you will not ever be able to see the color for the rest of your life......

My '01 GS 430 with ML and no nav has the the greenish tint at night and get white as the the daylight gets brighter. When the sun is it's brightest the gauges do look white.

Or are you talking about pix of a white climate contol cluster?
I see no pictures on the very first post that you started. Just some text that says 'here are picstures of mine", but no picture shows. Try again.

Maybe it's just me, but I think that Jeff's "white" gauges have a touch of green to them. Does anyone else see that?

Question

I'm so jealous of all you 'white' guys. who knew there was a difference after all these years, and all these threads, and all these GSes. good eye, Jeff.

It's just how the camera picks up the lighting. In reality it is pure white like a flourescent tube/CCFL white tube...well it is a white CCFL back there so thats the actual color. A good example is like how a camera can never take a good picture of the actual color or HID's. Has to do with the AC based high voltage & frequency lighting and also the color band is very narrow. Pix in rooms with flourescent lighting are slightly greenish. Same thing in this case. The difference of the green/white in the pix are subtle, but if you see it in person its a pretty big difference. Thats why I noticed it in the first place when I was riding in my friends car. Right when I jumped back in my car....that's when I noticed there was something different about his gauges

Nope not green, i see a tint of blue to the white gauges with a glow similar to the green many have spoke about.

^^That white is pure white. It looks good, but I don't want my guages to look like a 89 Maxima. A little blue or a little green stands out.
