yo goto walmart and buy the 5qt jug from there, cheapest place to get it... not sure about v8 but inline 6 takes about 5.5qts and i know the v8 takes less. to be on the safe side go ahead and buy 1 addition qt.

get toyota yzzd3 filter from the toyota dealer....just goto parts dept. and tell them u need a v8 filter.

just for some insight last time i did my oil change i did it right under 30bucks....

Good advice on oii. I pour some fresh oil directly in the filter and swirl it around to let it soakup. Dont over fill the filter as you want little or no wastage when you tilt the filter to twist on to the fitting.

Never heard of anyone ever swirling around new oil in the new filter....thats a first. 6 quarts for mine. I use the doubleguard fram filter. Mentioned earlier...Walmart 5 quart jug with an extra quart as well.

Not necessary if you buy filters from Lexus/toyota, as they are not dry. Pre-soaking helps the intitial rush of oil into an empty and dry filter.

Costco is pretty cheap too for the oil... I get the K&N filter from the neighboor hood auto parts store.
