I seen a GS400 with really blue headlamps. I want to make mine as much blue as
possilble since my car is Spectra Blue.. I head u have to buy a different bulb and that
costs about $200.. Is there any other way i can make my HIDs give off a little more blue?
When you first put the lights on, they are brighter and with a shade of blue. This color changes to a whiter shade over a few minutes. I think that the guy just turned his lights on right before you saw them.
Just kidding, don't do something so ricer like that. You have REAL HID's...it's what other people strive for...no need to screw up your light output just to get a little more blue into 'em...know what I mean?
Slamgs, I know this dude who trying messing with his HID's to make it more blue, he f-cked it up. He had to buy new bulbs which you know costs $$$$. Leave it the way it is and be glad you have one of few cars who has HID's.
the blue you saw could probably be just regular blue halogen Bulbs not HID lights. I think all factory HIDs look the same and if it seems alot bluer it might be just some aftermarket bulbs.
What about the AcuraTL, and the Audis, and the BMWs, and Mercedes? All these cars have HIDs that shine much more "blue" light. I think I read somewhere that the 1998 GS models with HIDs had more white light than the newer models. I guess Lexus also realized that people out there wanted what you wanted, MORE BLUE. I think you can just purchase a replacement bulb that has another filament in the bulb to displace more blue.

That is a good way but you are looking at hundreds of dollars for a bulb . Plus I think the housing is a little different, I believe that the housing for the newer models have a blue 'tint' on it. Someone correct me if I am wrong about this.
