I called Mario on Friday and ordered one of these- seemed easier than making a spoiler from scratch.

He called me back an hour later and told me they are out of stock but should have more in March.
See? It's more like the JP stuff than we thought!

So, we're back to making a spoiler from scratch... I want my car back before April.

I think they are too similar for it not to be a copy by erebuni
Put it this way, I agree they "copied" the design from JP, but it looks different enough (at least from the pictures) that I don't think they made a casting of an actual JP spoiler to make the mold. Does anyone know if designs like these are protected by copyright? If you make an exact duplicate are you vulnerable to lawsuit for infringement? It will be interesting to hear what TLW hears back from JP on this matter.

There are knock-off kits of alot of the popular kits and they are still sold so Im not sure what the legal aspect is for these knock off companies.

Looks like a pretty decent piece, but ultimately I bucked-up for the real Junction Produce spoiler.

At this point, I've come so far with the car that what's a couple hundred dollars to have the real deal.

It's good to have friends that can expedite the JP order (you know who you are).

i could agree with you in some what, but to me if its a good deal and the product holds up nicely, then its a good product, its fiberglass, now some companies can not manufacture it nicely than others, but thats how i see it, don't get me wrong, JP products might be more superior, but they use the same raw materials, its just back to who makes a better product, better reputation, and who Quailty Control is better in this catergory, but if it comes to electronics, then i would consider buying the best

SoCal, Have you received your spoiler yet? Would like to compare your experience wth my own re: paint and mounting. You definitely need to post up pics when the mod is complete.

If a product is made from the same thing and has the same physical looks and quality, then it's more like GENERIC rather than KNOCK-OFF. knock offs have poor quality and is just a cheap way to get something that MIGHT look right.
