Default Got another GS300

Okay - I'm the guy who had the tech get my 2002 GS300 into an accident before I picked it up. So I obviously didn't want the car anymore.

I know that everyone told me that it was a sign and that I should get a 4XX. I looked and I wasn't able to find anything I liked for the amount of money I wanted to spend.

Well, check this out.
2003 Lexus GS300
Sport Design Package
18,000 miles
lexus certified
$25,000 only

no accidents, mint condition

I will hopefully be able to pick up the car this weekend and if not then, early next week!

I know it's not a 4XX but the price is too good to pass.

have you driven a 400/430? If not, I STRONGLY suggest you at least drive one before you get a 300. $25k can buy a very nice 400 or a good 430.

25k can get you a NICEEE 2001-2002 GS430 with nav!!! I wouldn't spend 25k on a 2gen 300...sport design or not.

The SportDesign interior is nice, but don't pass up the opportunity to get into a 400/430.

I drove a 430 and yeah, it picks up much faster. The way I look at it is this: I am not the best driver on Earth and I know that I'll end up wrecking this car as I have every other car I have had (except the RX8 which I am selling right now). I know I can get a nice 2001 430 for the same money but it'll have a lot more miles on it and with this GS300, I have a warranty for another $82,000 miles.

It was between this GS300 and a G35 but I had a G35 before the RX8 and I wrecked it, so I thought I'd try a different car.

I just bought an '01 430 for the same money with 37,000 miles. No warranty (other than the powertrain). So they can be found.

I started out looking at a 300, but then a dealer let me test drive a 430, and I could never go back to a 300 after that exhilarating experience .

Like others said, make darn sure you won't regret not getting a 430... There are several posts here from others who did...

Yeah but not Certified, and not with those miles on it. I know the 430 is tempting, but peace of mind has it's value.

Congrats on the 300!

yea u gotta shop around cause i found a few 430 in the mid to low 20's so u might wanna go to another state to cop. but anyways would it be the best decision to get it from a lexus dealership cause of the CPO they offer? i found a few gs 430's going for 20-22 at non lexus dealerships but should one pay the extra 2-4g's just for the cpo? is it really that great?

I don't understand why you would even consider spending 25k on a car when you say "I'll end up wrecking this car as I have every other car". Maybe you would be better off driving a junker until you improve your driving skills

dam that is a good quesiton, do you drive that bad?
i mean im not the best driver in the world either but dam u gotta take car of your things (mommy lesson) but yea if u planning to wreck it anyways i think u should look into getting a nice lil civic or integra* so if u wreck it u will only be out of a grand or two *(2 or 3gen models)

One year ago, I bought a loaded 02 w/69K miles for less than $25K. I passed on the extended warrenty. No regrets after 12 months. Who needs a warrenty on a 02 Lexus, these cars are very reliable. Making sure a used car still has a factory warrenty is something I always did with an American/Euro car, not a Lexus. I have to own a RWD V-8, nothing else will do.
