I did my car last year with a new radio and I bypassed the amp. Here is the reason why...the amp in your car is at least 20 years old. Aftermarket head units come with more than enough power alone that the factory amplifier is not needed. When I replaced the head unit with the NAK factory speakers it sounded better and had more power than with the NAK amp. Other posters are correct in stating that there is no harness to keep the stock amp with aftermarket radio. However you can keep the stock speakers if they are in good shape and you should be more than happy with a new aftermarket head unit.

Where did you find a diagram to wire the head unit in and bypass the amp. My email is leitzelwill04@gmail.com if you could send info there
