No, wires on the GS400 - individual coil packs per plug.
Iam also changing my thermostat , radiator cap, radiator hoses and misc. hoses if necessary. All oem Lexus parts, ofcourse.
When was the last time you had a tranny service done?
Later, T

Shouldn't there be 4 cam seals?

Thermostat too since water pump is getting done.

Why do you need to change your oil pump, is there a problem with it? I don't think this is part of the normal maintenance.

You can also add transmission and differential fluid change to your list.

If these things are overlooked, $$$$$$ down the line.

i'm doing the oil pump as a preventative maintenance idea.... either my oil pump or water pump r starting to make a noise too... so i figure i'll change both...

as for plugs lol yea i forgot that thecar had coilpacks...

transmission-- i always change this fluid every 10k so i have confidence i dont need that flushed... same with differential fluid i changed that every 10k also...

thermostat... i sure will add... my temp gauge in the car even after driving 230 minutes will stay at the 1st line of 4 which is on the cold side and the heat needs the engine to warm up for it to be effective (thats when i drive normal)... so i'm thinking maybe my thermostat is the cause... but if i get on the car hard it'll go up no problem... maybe there is too much water in my coolant??? could be a factor?? cuz if i remember correctly during the warm months it would go up easily and seem hotter than normal but the gauge was always about half way but seemed to be on the warm side

ya its an expensive list.... very.. lol on my discounts its at 1850 w/o thermostat... and w/o labor cuz i cant do everything.... it would be around $3100 w/o discount lol

How the new brakes? I see in your SIg that you already have the Supra TT brakes.... Other than that you're gonna practically a new car with all that stuff.... Good Luck and keep us posted on the outcome of all these parts.... Later

Darn! You gotta have the cleanest transmission and differential in the whole world! It'll be one lucky dog who buys the car from you in the future.

PS: And don't forget the cabin air filter.

You should buy another high-mileage GS300 for cheap if you want to go 1JZ. I think it's a waste to go from an 1UZ/3UZ to a 1/2JZ.

the brakes.. well here's the deal.... i got the Supra TT upgrade and put everything in no problem but it was missing a fitting kit for the pads which i didnt realise.. so i drove with it like that not knowing the pads were moving around but the next day i left it at work and ordered a new kit which was back-ordered for a week... but i think the damage was done . so i've needed new rotors for awhile... and i heard from the supra forums that the stock discs r really good at with standing abuse so i'm taking the cheaper route on that since i go thru brakes a lot anyways.. but otherwise when i plant down my foot on the brake pedal.. its amazing... i cant imagine wut its like to have a 6-pot cailper brake kit... and for the rear too.....

only thing is ... i kno how my car has been i like being an owner as long as possible.. with older cars who knows wut its been thru ... but i do agree i should.. and some night when i'm sleping i think i should have gotten a 300.. but then everytime i mash it in my 400.. boy that car goes with very few mods hehe.. but i do agree with buying a 300 later on possibly... but i would prolly try to get one with low miles being who i am lol
