Angry Cd and Navigation issues

I have a GS400 1998 with the Navigation option. Everything worked fine until yesterday when I was playing a CD. The CD just stopped playing and the radio station took over. When I hit the audio button, the screen gets stuck in the radio station menu. And the radio menu is only stuck on one station. am able to play tapes fine. when I press the CD button the screen doesn't give the usual 6-CD screen. All other navigation options work fine-climate, map, destination etc. Any tips or help on this issue.

Ive had the same thing happen to me on a 01 GS430... everything was locked including the volume control. I turned off the car and let it sit for a few, and it went right back to normal again. Never happened again. Anyone know whats the reasoning behind this?

I had the same thing happen to my '01 RX300 w/Nav about a year after I had it. I have a 6-disc changer. I turned off the car, ejected the 6-disc changer and re-inserted it. When I turned the car back on, everything went back to normal. Never happened to me again and Lexus service told me that they've heard of it, but normally everything goes back to normal when the car restarts. You might want to call your Lexus service, as this doesn't seem too uncommon to Lexus owners.
