I saw that too...from the pics, it looks like Vertex means leather, sat-nav, and a touchscreen for the stereo and aircon controls.
I've seen similar screens on JDM SC400s, and all the text is in Japanese, although with practice you can figure out what does what

Vertex editions are basically the LUXURY PACKAGES. All the mechanical specs are the same throughout all Vertex/non-Vertexes.
Here's a list of what Vertex Editions get:
- "Vertex Edition" side emblems (I GOT THOSE! check them out.)
- Dark grey interior wood trim.
- leather shift ****.
exclusively for the S300:
- special text-displaying audio player.
- cruise control.
- Auto leveling HID.
- 225/55/16 wheels/tires
exclusively for the V300:
- 235/45/17 wheels/tires.
Things like dark wood and 17" wheels are very nice to have.

thanks globeclk
if you go onto the website, its hard to read the text (obviously) but when you put your mouse over a link to another page it displays the address at the bottom of the screen and you can sometimes see what you will go to (it will say ww.toyta.co.jp/cars/aristo/pictures.html and that will be the pictures of the car or whatever thats just an example)
and this i found kinda wierd, a lot of people here are changing thier emblems from Lexus to toyota. but the exact opposite is happening in japan. i have seen pictures on japanese websites of cars with Lexus GS400 on it and it was a V300. we all want what we cant have....
