Does anybody know of any cheap modifications for 1st Gen GS. Filter etc....? I would like a little more power without any big expense.

Thanks
Mike

Forget how the grill looked on the first GEN GS but I think Joe's grill treatment might work??
I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong..

Mike - my apologies. Cheap shot... you see we'd just been discussing er, certain types of questions on here, and how some, er, kind of beg to be answered a certain way .

Cheap mods for more power, hmm... can't help ya there (maybe a new exhaust?). An air filter like a K&N might make a slight difference.

But other cheap mods...

- Different bulbs for your lights (brighter white, or replace yellow with white, for example).

- Paint your brake rotors with heat resistant paint (red, gray, black, for example) as others have done on here (search the forum).

- Get some Lexus seatbelt pads like 1SickLex from www.nopi.com.

- Window tinting isn't too expensive.

Hope that helps.

1SICKLEX,

How about those NEON valve stems?

Or, has anybody seen those tiger tails you hang from your gas filler door?

Bitslappa - Lexus seatbelt pads? Bit...why?!?!?!? I have to agree with Duct Tape being cheap though...

Anyways, Mike, if you want CHEAP mods, try a CHEAP Honda Civic instead. You can mod that car for REAL CHEAP and there are PLENTY of CHEAP add-on parts for it....check out www.pepboys.com. They sell lots of CHEAP stuff that go on CHEAP cars...

There is no way to add more power (that'll make a difference) w/o any "big expense" unless you get the **** for free. Stuff like airfilters and "exhaust tips" (as full exhaust systems are NOT inexpensive) don't do ****. Anything that makes any additional power that worth even talking about is NOT CHEAP. Sorry bud, you picked the WRONG car for "cheap" ****...

Marty - Hey, I have a tiger tail hanging from my gas filler door...took off at least 2 seconds off my 0-60...damn fine mod I tell ya! Wait, how about some YELLOW stickers...it not only LOOKS fast, but it adds LOTSA RP! (Rice Power...not QUITE Horse Power, but hey, who's counting?) POWERED BY LEXUS on the hood will give you...what, 30-40 RP's? At least!
