Sorry to hear about all your problems and hope you get it worked out. I don't know what's causing the squirlly feel, but let me say that I do not have that feel with my 18 staggered setup. I'm running dunlap sp9000 with 275/35 in the rear. I have the l-tuned sus with the 3.76 lsd and the car feels very solid at 100+.

I think the wheel is still out of round, it looks like they may have pulled out the lip a little to much when fixing the bend which is now seeping air slowly.
Will have to see I guess.

Well...
Took the wheels back to Transwheel and it turns out that the tire had not seated properly and was losing air...
So they reinstall the tire but just used a mark instead of rebalancing and now the balance is off again...
So I am heading back there today...

18 inch Salinas - bent
Hey - I was forwarded the link to your thread. I just bought a 2001 GS430 and one of the front rims is bent. I knew this but got a discount on the car, so I took the chance. Now I'm in a bind since I cannot find this rim anywhere. I was also told since they are aluminum that they cannot be reworked.
I had no clue who made the rim, but posted it on this website and someone told me they are Salinas. I've attached a pic. What should I do? The back rims are wider than the front, so I cannot put the bad rim in the back. My alignment is off so I hesitate to fix that until I get a new rim. I already purchased 2 new tires for the front since they were cuffing.
Someone on this website told me these can be reworked, any idea? I'd rather buy a new one, but oh well.
Thanks,
Chris

The bends can be repaired if they are not too bad. Mine were fixed by Transwheel for $100 per wheel. According to the machine they were brought back within spec or very close.
Personally I thnk I can still feel something and wish I could have bought new fronts but others don't feel anything and say it is just in my head so...
Good Luck.
