Default Passenger airbag removable from dashboard?

I plan to replace my dashboard. The new dashboard doesn't come with the passenger airbag.
So when I remove my original dashboard, is the passenger airbag attached to it? Can I remove it and put it with the new dashboard?

Or is the passenger airbag attached to the car and the dash just covers it?

Ok, so if i take off the dash, I just disconnect the airbag connector and remove the dash with the airbag still in the car.
Would i have to disconnect the battery first before disconnecting the airbag connector or it doesn't matter?

yes. disconnect the battery whenever you are messing with your airbag.

I'm still a bit unclear. I plan to swap to a black dash.
Should I buy a dash that comes with an passenger airbag or one without (so I can reuse my own from my car)?

Can use one without and swap your current airbag over to the new dash. Couple nuts and a bit of securing rope are all that hold it inthe car

Yes, it's removable and able to swap into a new dash since you are replacing the whole dash. We just parted out a GS, removed the air bag since the dash was damaged. The airbag is removable, just be super careful when taking it out, you will see it held in with a white string, looks like a shoelace. You'll understand once you tear into it.

Good luck, it's not fun replacing the dash!
