Can someone quote me on this damage?

I got back to my car and noticed that some *&#($&*(#$ person hit my car on the rear left of my car and took off. How much should this cost to fix? Is there a way to bend it back?

01 GS300

Thanks.
Johnny

man sorry to hear that :( i hope it' just the bumper, if so, maybe a new bumper and paint, around 600 to 800 bucks?

GS300Rich 05-22-05 05:28 AM

Man that really sucks. I dont think the bumper can be fixed looking like that so you will probably have to get a new bumper. I hope that is the only damage

chuckb 05-22-05 06:02 AM

there sure have been alot of these threads lately :egads: sorry to hear it man. good luck.

I wouldn't even try messing with that bumper, just get a new one,

ARISTO*7 05-22-05 08:26 AM

sorry to hear about the hit n run. luckily it was only the bumper. time to look for a used bumper

vicestan 05-22-05 08:50 AM

you can get a rear bumper cover for 50 bucks on ebay, then all you have to do is just repain it and that will cost around 200-300 dollers.

I had exact the same thing happened to me. New bumper and paint, $600 out the door.

Take it to a reputable Body shop and they will assess the damage and give you an estimate at no charge!

Bumper !!!

You might be able to fix it, but it would have to be a very good body shop to make it look right, goodluck with it either way, people suck no respect for others stuff !!!

to me i would just get a new bumper

Agent$mith 05-22-05 06:38 PM

Thanks for all the responses guys. Man I would get the bumper replaced if it was cracked, but it just looks bent a lil and a few scrapes. I'll ask the bodyshop. Anyone know a good one in Houston, TX? If worse comes to worst, I'll look for a l-sportline bumper.

This was before the incident.

well to me the problem is that it's very hard to "repair" plastic, and even so it's very costly. i don't think there is a cheap way to do it, not like fiber glass

so to me, the good way to make sure it's done right is to get a new one

This damage won't seem not a big deal.
I got hit last month on the other side of the rear corner and bodyship quoted me to replace and paint for $700 even.
Well, mine is pearl, which cost a little higher than other paint job....
Good luck

:uh: I would have to say around $1200-$1500 give or take a few $100
