Every set of tires, I have bought insurance for them. Usually, it costs an extra 150 dollars or so BUT it's warrantied for the rest of the tire life (or at least 1/8 tread which is pretty close to bald) of any bubbles, unrepairable flats, and any tire damage you can think of. Because we spend so much on the tires I think it's a worthy investment. I have cashed in at least twice on this insurance so I can definitely relate that it is worth the extra dough. You might want to consider this the next time you purchase tires. Most tire stores sell it...

Guys,
I just talked to Nitto Corporation's warranty department and they told me that on a 20 inch tire, there is no treadwear warranty. If the sidewall has proof of road hazards--meaning bruises and tears from potholes, it is up to the Nitto dealer where the tires were originally purchased to honor a warranty. They could not do anything about it. I guess if they can't do anything, you can go to the city and challenge them that they are not keeping the public roads in tact. So 20 inch Nitto tire owners BEWARE. If you guys have any questions for Nitto, here are the numbers:

Kinda sucks when a company won't stand behind their products at all. I won't be buying any 20s but this takes Nitto out of contention for any tires I will be buying in the future. Looks like Michelin or Toyo when my Bridgestones burn out.

And buying that tire insurance may not be such a bad idea...

some places actually prorate the insurance so you may still have a shot if they are cool enough about it. Good Luck!

where did you buy your tires.. dicsount tire replace mine free of charge under the road hazards warranties. This is the waranties you have to buy from them. I knew the guy tere so i didnt' buy it until it happended, it usally supossed to take effect 30day after you purcase he waranties. find out.. talk to the guy he might hook you up-

If NITTO won't cover tires in 20's, it makes me question Toyo tires now. I hope not all companies supplying 20's have that same policy
