Default squeaky door!

I didn't see anything in the manual about what kind of lube to use on the door.

Mine has started squeaking just about everytime I open or close it.

What kind of lube should I use? I thought older cars used white lithium grease but I thought I'd ask you guys first.

Thanks!

I would use white grease (lithium grease?) sparingly

I second that vote. It works more efficiently than WD-40, and you can also use it on the trunk hinges if they squeak too

You can get this bottle of grease at any auto parts store (i.e. Autozone, Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc.)

I love wd40 ... the product and the smell BUT keep in mind it dislodges the grease which is needed.

This is what I suggest.

Use WD40 with the tube on the nozzzle to briefly spray the pivots. This removes grime and the old grease. (wipe clean with a rag).

Use white lithium grease (or my favorite lubriplate (cant find it any more)) very sparingly. If you use too much it will be a dust magnet and worse it WILL get on to your nice clothes.

Wipe the excess off with a rag (Thin film should be left).

If after few days, the new grease has turned brown/black redo the process. [Just in case it workes its way into the hinge and dislodges more grime].

WD is a temporary fix because it washes away grease and eventualy dries out
