Hey I am a GS300, but i think i am getting a new 430 soon =P. GS300 is very very nice if you don't mind it's slowness. (hm. yes 7.6 is very slow) at least 6. something would be much more appreciated. The ride is as nice and comfort as a GS4. All depends on your budget. You get the same look from both cars anywayz. Though GS300 is slow compare to GS4, it still stands up for its own league. compared to 525i, E320, you can't go wrong. (yes it WILL kill a 525i, around the same with 530 M) If speed is not your thing, just Get GS300 with the best package, you won't regret it.

I agree with gsintensive, if you don't have the money and don't care about the speed, go with the GS300. You can always put mods in it later to make it faster.

Bear in mind the initial cost difference, the cost of gas, and insurance. If budget is a consideration, you can spend a lot of bucks on mods with the price difference of a GS3 over a GS4. If performance is the main objective with no worries of budget, go with the GS4. I've spend 10 grand modifiying my GS4 and will probably spend more.

With a bodykit and wheels and tires, you can easily drop $6k plus!

Even the 01 Maxima beats the GS300 by a fair margin !!! Yes, I know EVEN THE MAXIMA is faster/quicker. I dont understand why they couldn't have made the GS3 atleast the same speed as the MAX if not quicker.

But the GS3 is still nice, I mean, yes it may only have halogen lights like a Maxima and even the Maxima's stereo's system might be better, but its still a GS! However, if it was me, I would rather get a used GS4 than a 01 GS3. I think a fully loaded GS3 would cost around 42k, and you can easily get a 00 GS4 for less than that, and it will only be 1 yr and 25k miles used.

the maxima came out after the GS300.......... they won't release anything that's slower.

Same as saying why the WRX is faster than ALOT of cars today at a fraction of the price.....

speed isn't everything.

WRX is a little boy-racer from SUBARU. over 200 hps, and cost ~$20k.

Get a used GS 400 instead. I test drove the GS 300 and Maxima almost back to back. The GS 300 is smoother and more refined, but the Maxima, just felt like pulled a bit stronger. Test drive both GS 400 and GS 300 back to back, if you still not sure which one to buy after you test drive them both, then just buy the GS 300.

Is money a factor in your decision? If money is no subject, I would get GS400 for sure. Bigger engine, more performance.

If I have the money for GS4 I would buy a GS3 and mod it. Bolt-On Turbo kit should cost about the same as the difference when it's out (8k?) and can outperform M5s. (KKelly gonna speak up?)

The only maxima faster than a GS 300 is the SE w/5 speed . A automatic Maxima will get eaten up by a 300.

But back to the topic. If you want speed get the 400 , but if you don't need neck snapping speed get the 300. The 300 is surprisingly quick imho. You can't go wrong with your choice. They are both winners.
