Are you talking about the actual JP tails or a comparable one? If it is JP, I don't think even JP Japan can get it together that quickly. Like Henry said, they (JP USA AND JP Japan) don't stock these and are made as the order comes in.

The person we are referring to IS the ONLY source of JP in the US. He has the contract, plain and simple, like it or not. Shipping takes 2 weeks if you are not waiting to load up a container full of parts and putting it on the slow boat from Japan, which is how they do it.

Also the tails are made to order and JP is doing a **** *** poor job turning them around. I'm not trying to make excuses for John, I'm just saying these are some of the many reasons why it takes a long time.

To me, I think we here in the US have high standards when it comes of customer service. What I see in general from Japanese vendors and in particular JP, is that they either don't have a clue or maybe they just don't care about developing their business in the US.

I'd guess the best way to get JP tails right now is to have someone in Japan order them for you.

umm..... just to be fair, i have to say that a lot of times if you are in japan and order stuff from within japan, it won't take tremendously long to get your stuff. i have my contact and i know. wheels, body kits, etc... all custom made, from purchase to available it's actually pretty predictable most of the time.

of course i don't deny there are independent incidents. we also have the great old time iforged stories right?

bottom line, blaming everything to japan company services, i think that's not right

I am saying " in general" that's what I've seen, but yeah, not all JDM sources are this problematic. I'm mainly siteing JP at this point.

You have a good "contact" , but the general public does not. All I'm saying is if you don't have good connections, it might be harder to get certain brands of parts.

You and I both know of a local member who tried to get his Rims for his IS from Japan. The poor response from that supplier and asking for advanced deposit with no refund policy, then after saying check back in 2-3 weeks and saying that for 4 or 5 months or more, still never got the rims.

Doesn't this sound very similar to the JP experience?

Atleast in the end he did get his money back.

umm, just to clarify, no one knows exactly where the problem was, whether it was in the US or japan. my guess is it's in the US part, slow order, slow process, slow shipping, and wrong wheels (grrr....)

basically it's like, if you know japanese, have someone in japan to pay for you and receive the stuff, you call up the company and order stuff, and everything is in order

That's a pretty bold claim.

I say this because NO ONE has been able to duplicate the 01 + JP tails exactly.

There's been a lot of past discussion on this topic.

Do an advanced search for "clear tail" and see what were talking about.
