Newbie..got a question regarding Gs's.
 

I plan on purchasing a lexus gs soon and not sure which model to get. I was thinking of swapping in the supra motor into it later and was wondering which is a better platform for doing so. I presume the 300 is since both will be 6 cylinders. How involved is the swap...what would i need to get it done.

welcome to clublexus. actually if you do a search you will be able to find a lot of information on this, maybe you can read the engine section. the supra tt engine is similar to the one in the gs3, but not exact. you still need to make some custom changes to get it fit

anything specific to search for? i tried doing that but i havent found anything specific on supra engine in the gs.

Dayam, I like my V8 but dat motor's got me at full chub!!!

what are your opinions on swapping motors versus turboing the g3 motor...what kind of numbers can you get out of a turboe'd g3 motor? thanks

not much before you need to upgrade the internals and start touching the tranny. the engine is strong, but no where close to the gte engine. if i were you, with enough money, i would do the gte swap for sure
