I've seen a few VeilSide vented hoods using the stock grill, so I would say that the mounting points on the VeilSide hood is the same as the stock hood, hence any GS grill will fit.

However that's only a speculation. Do not quote me directly. Please consult with an actual VeilSide hood owner for further investigation

I don't know is Veilside re-designed their hood, but I thought only the Veilside grille would mount without a problem. I had the hood before and modified a Blitz grille to fit, I had to do this because the Veilside grille was back ordered to some ridiculous time frame that I didn't want to wait for.

Lex,

The L-tuned would not be a direct fit to the Veilside Hood. I tried, and without any modification to the hood, it wouldn't work. See I was in the same dilema you're asking about, so I ended up buying the Veilside grill as well, and sold the L-tuned. Let me know if you need to know about anything else.

thanks guys for the replies

v8aristo, what did you have to do to modify the grill to fit.. i hear the veilside grill does not have any mesh behind it and i like the look of the ltuned with 1 bar across instead of 2 bars like the veilside grill

can anyone else chime in

Actually, now that I thought about it more, the only modification you need to do to the grille is to find a way to make brackets that would match up to the Veilside grille bolt holes. The more extensive modification is sanding and filling parts of the hood so the grille would look flush. The Blitz and the L-Tuned grille almost look alike, I think it will be harder to to modify the L-Tuned since it's made out of polyutherane.

Hi Guys!

I'll have to buy the VS Grill as I thought the OEM would fit.

Now, my beef is that I need to know what latch to use to be able to close the hood as I was sold just the hood from Titan Motorsports and they have NO IDEA what to use with the hood.

Any help?

Weird!

Must have gotten mine out in a rush!

Also, no chance in hell to fit the stock grill, right? Just the Veilside one?

I was told by Veilside that the OEM grille should fit. It is the other aftermarket ones that are in question.

The OEM grill does fit.

What latch are you talking about? The hood should have the catch part, the OEM latch attaches to the grill.

I'm talking about the U part. The OEM hood has no way of unbolting it.

I'll try to fit the grill but it looks way to big to fit in.

I'll see if I can snap some pics
