New HKS Hi-Power mufflers are on! Ferrari V-12 sound!!
I must say that A. these things aren't cheap! B. They are extremely well made. Hell, the best made muffler I've personally ever seen.
Ok, so it's not quite a Ferrari V-12, but the Lex is officially sounding sweet now. A friend helped me put the exhaust on last night and I must say, even though I will want to do something with the tips, the sound is SWEET. Almost too mellow, but a great low sound. Kinda like a deep purr. 70mph/2400rpm, cruise control on, cabin sealed, and it's uber-quiet. Barely touch the go-pedal and the purr comes back. Great sound. Even coming off the gas, the sound kind of "rolls" off the purring with a lot of smoothness.
Great sound for a luxury/performance car.
Just thought I'd share my impression for others looking at an exhaust purchase one day.

I feel the same way about my HKS. I just added the SRT intake so the sound is a bit higher now but I am slowly getting used to it. But I sure do miss that distinctive purrrrrr

Ok, here's my 2 cents.
I love the sound of these HKS Hi-Power, and the quality is superb!! Strangely, it doesn't really get much louder at the higher RPM's but I'm ok with that for now. Future exhaust additions might change that.
I still have the stock bodywork all around, and personally I think the mufflers look a little "ricer-ish" right now. WIth an aftermarket rear cover, I'm sure they'd be better. I just think a 3"-3.5" pipe would have been plenty big enough, and, right now they stick out about an inch or two farther than I'd like.
If anyone has any ideas about how to make it look better at the tip, feel free to share! I can only think that maybe I could find some polished stainless steel and tig-weld on a 3" pipe.

When I first got my HKS I had the same thoughts as you. The tips are huge, but eventually u will get used to it. I was planning on modifying the bracket and pushing the muffler up a bit but decided to get the lsport kit which fits pefectly with the exhaust.
