Lately my 430 has been making semi loud creaking noises.
Happens at slow speed, like manuvering thru a parking lot, or going over any kind of bump, like a speepbump.
I think its mostly comming from the front suspension but not sure.
Its scaring me, I get the feeling the shock absorber is like going to fall off!
Anways, Im going to bring it to the dealer this week to get it checked.
O ya, my allignment keeps going back too. After getting a 4wheel(expensive) allignment work done, it went bad 2 weeks later!
Hello,
don't be scared, my l-tuned suspension (dealer installed) makes those noises too. The dealer had checked suspension two times and had tightened all bolts and it is still happening. I guess, this is how it is. The sound dissapears though if I go on 16 in. wheels.
Had the same thing the other day too....I took it to my mechanic and it was the ball joints...he greased them up for me and it was gravy!!!! I thought I would have to change them with the way they sounded...like an old beat up 1967 something!!! Everything is good so far.....
could you explain what exactly happened to your GS?
did you hear it when turning only at parking lot?

Seriously tho, my "vintage" 98 is creaktacular depending on the weather. ive learned to listen and get more in touch with how my lex is feeling
Thats a good one!!! I felt the same way!!!! Well as far as my sounds....it was when I would turn the wheel....it would sound as if something was rubbing...metal to metal...or like an old door opening up in a scary movie....it sometimes would happen over bumps and that would be it....I took it to my mechanic...he checked it out by turning the wheels when it was on the lift...shook the control arm to see if anything was loose and determined it was the ball joints...he had somewhat of a syringe that he filled with grease and injected it into the rubber cover till it was full...after that..no more noises...I've been on it for 2weeks already and still no noises....My car is a daily driver and I put about 800 miles a week on it...so figure it out....
