I recently came upon these tail lights, which an ebay person claims to be "exclusively from japan, rare, and very sought after", or something like that (yeh right). First I saw the first pic on some japanese site, than by coincidence saw them for sale on ebay. They don't come cheap, but they look cheap! Very plasticly looking.

looks like the did a mod with the older version tail lights, the glare emitting off gives me that perception

you may be right, they may be straight out lying, not to mention be completely off a couple of countries, as I saw this light pic in all it's pieces in the uk.lexusownersclub board.

I wonder if this is the stock uk lights. If so you sure can do alot of innovative things with it.
