Default check engine code

Anyone know the cause of a check engine code of P0441 (purge flow fault)?

My check engine light has been on for about a month untill resently, when it went off by itself!

I took the car to a parts place and a friend of mine plugged on a tool and got the code P0441.

Just some stuff I found searching the gool 'ol internet....

"A loose or missing gas cap on a late-model Toyota often leads to a trouble-code hat trick of P0440, P0441 and P0446. Don't get carried away here because installing or tightening the gas cap usually takes care of all three codes."

"P0441
EVAP Emission Control System Improper Purge Flow"

Let us know what you find.

HELP!!!!

i just threw the same code -- p0441 -- which is the "puge flow fault" -- what does this mean??? and what should I do. Thanks for the help guys.

PS: I did recently install the SRT intake/ecu less than a 1000 miles ago, could that be tripping the check engine light?

Not sure if the code will clear itself or you need to get it done (or can just pull battery cable for 30 mins).

Def tightened the gas cap and removed the + from the battery and let it sit for an hour to reset the ecu and clear the light, after an hour or two of driving the light came back on. I did this twice, making sure all my vac hoses were in place on the intake the second time. Any ideas???

Hey man,

There was a thread a little while ago that included all of the Lexus Tech's we have as members here. If you search for it you could PM one of them and they might know or else check their manuals when they get to work tomorrow.

Good luck,
Jonny

After you have checked and or replace the gas cap use the following PDF for diagnostics.
